Cynthia Axelrod
Cindy Axelrod joined the Fox School of Business as an Assistant Professor in the Finance Department in 2013. Before joining Fox, Ms. Axelrod was a Senior Securities Analyst and Investment Professional with over 25 years experience in equity analysis and portfolio management at several firms including Glenmede, BlackRock, 1838 Investment Advisors, Friess Associates, and PNC. She has a successful track record of investing client assets utilizing value, growth, and GARP investment disciplines across all market capitalizations.
Ms. Axelrod is accomplished in equity analysis, with a sharp focus on the ability to assess important and timely business trends as they relate to corporate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Cindy is a results-oriented professional who has consistently demonstrated an expertise in identifying critical business trends and catalysts and their impact on stock performance.
Cindy currently heads up the Financial Planning major at the Fox School of Business for both undergrad and graduate programs, and teaches in the Specialized Master's of Science in Investment Management. She leads and instructs on the Owl Fund Seminar, a student managed investment fund, with approximately $500,000 of assets under management. She holds an M.B.A. and B.S. from Drexel University, specializing in Investment Management and Finance. Ms. Axelrod earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst Designation in June 2000.
