Keynote: A Tale of Two Futures
Aging is the elephant in the middle of the room during retirement planning discussions. In this session, financial advisors will learn how to use skillful discussions of health, aging and mortality to strengthen the client-advisor relationship. Participants will learn specific strategies for raising these sensitive subjects, what to listen for, and how to offer reassurance and encouragement to their retirement planning clients. The session will address how to discuss these subjects proactively with middle-aged clients as well as how to handle clients whose financial management skills are faltering. Advisors will leave the session with practical tactics for addressing health investments and aging protections.
