Margit Cox Henderson
Margit’s heartfelt engagement touches her audiences, clients and readers, quickly developing the connection to inspire change. She teaches, motivates, reassures, encourages, and celebrates success.
Margit’s professional training includes a Ph.D. (1997) and M.A. (1993) in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago. Her B.A. (1990) in Psychology is from Northwestern University.
Early in her career, she conducted clinical research, published research papers in peer-review professional journals, and taught undergraduate psychology courses. As a therapist, Margit has worked in community mental health agencies and student counseling centers before starting her private practice in 2000.
Margit has been a speaker throughout her career, as an event and conference speaker, faculty member, clinical trainer, and group facilitator. Returning to her enjoyment of writing, she published her first book, Optimistic Aging, in 2014.
