Learning Objectives

  3. Identify Material Conflicts of Interest and How to Avoid, or Fully Disclose, Obtain Informed Consent, and Manage Them.

2025 Tax Update

Description: In this session, financial professionals will analyze the impact of 2025's inflation-adjusted income tax changes, including gift exclusion limits, tax brackets, standard deductions, and qualified plan contribution limits. Attendees will be able to apply their understanding to evaluate potential tax planning strategies that capitalize on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act's (TCJA) impending expiration. Attendees will be able to develop long-term tax planning frameworks that extend beyond the TCJA's sunset, enabling them to provide proactive and strategic client guidance.

Lastly, attendees will be able to create a framework of coaching questions to evaluate and critique alternative investment vehicles like syndications and DSTs, which will enable them to provide sophisticated client guidance.

  1. Apply tax planning strategies specific to scenarios where one spouse actively manages investment real estate to reduce client tax liabilities.
  2. Develop scalable strategies to increase lient cash flow and expand their real estate portfolio.

Description: This session will debunk several "urban legends" that many investors—and financial advisors—incorrectly believe. These include myths about Roth conversions, bond funds, home equity, and more.
