Growing Tax-Focused Fee Only Fiduciary Wealth Management firm seeks Financial Planner for Tampa Area. The Financial Planner would be responsible for preparing materials for and meeting with our current clients, meeting with prospective clients, and assisting other advisors within our office.


Duties include:

  • Create comprehensive financial plans to improve our clients’ lives. This involves preparing and reviewing various financial planning modules, including retirement planning, tax planning, asset allocation, risk management, estate planning, and life planning.
  • Attend client meetings and prepare follow up materials and documents from those meetings.
  • Work closely with our Investment Manager to assist with determining the appropriate asset allocation for clients and trading within their accounts.
  • Assist with portfolio trading and monitoring.
  • Assist with tax planning and estimate tax calculations.
  • Address client questions and be aware of any changes in their finances, lifestyle, or retirement goals that would change their financial plan.
  • Create and review financial planning articles for our newsletter, website, and podcasts.
  • Attend and lead prospective client meetings which would also involve creating materials for those meetings.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with a preference in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 0-7 years of financial planning experience.
  • Knowledge of a range of financial planning areas, including investments, tax, risk management, budgeting, debt, and estate planning.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
  • Experience providing quality financial advice.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and attention to detail skills.
  • A high level of ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work in a team setting.
  • Desire to work as a fiduciary and not in a commissioned-based role.
  • A passion for continual learning and service to others.


Preferred:

  • CFP® certified or plan to purse the certification.
  • CPA, CFA, CIMA or other substantive designation related to the job.
  • Hold an advanced degree in one of the related areas or plans to pursue an advanced degree.
