Financial Planner Intern

EVOadvisers, a Fee-Only Registered Investment Adviser in Richmond Virginia has created an internship opportunity for a financial planning or finance major (CFP® track) for Summer 2022. The primary function of this role is supporting our firm’s financial planning team, assist with our Salesforce CRM and other technology initiatives.

Summary:

This is an excellent opportunity to build critical career skills and contribute to an established and growing firm. The successful candidate will assist our financial planning, operations, and portfolio management team in many ways: simplifying, cleansing, and organizing data in key systems, conducting research as directed, working on special projects, and assisting with preparation of client- facing work product.

Essential Skillset

- Technology. Fluency in best-of-breed fintech tools, higher level skills in Excel (formulas,

representing and manipulating data).

- Financial Planning. Foundational knowledge in Principal Knowledge Topics of the CFP® body of knowledge and ability to apply to real-life situations

- Process improvement mindset /curiosity. “What can we do, not what we can’t do”. Seeks out solutions to improve processes & client experience.

- Responsible, Independent, Curious. EVOadvisers works from virtual offices two days per week and in our Scott’s Addition office three days. Our financial planning intern will be expected to work independently at times, yet will be provided with support to be successful in the role.
