JOB SUMMARY
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified entry-level candidate to join our growing Fee-Only Wealth Management Firm. The candidate will work with a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) to learn how to analyze financial data, develop a financial plan and prepare various deliverables for a client meeting. In addition to the previously mentioned responsibilities, a candidate will also participate in and help support special projects within the firm as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You can expect to gain exposure in the area of Financial Planning. Duties and Responsibilities per business unit include:
• Financial Planning
o Review and analyze client information including financial statements, legal documents, insurance policies, and other data.
o Manage financial planning software including financial plan input and running various scenarios. Print reports for meetings with clients.
o Prepare tax projections, estate flowcharts, and other meeting materials.
o Maintain client information and communication within our firm’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
o Scanning of client and firm documents.
o Create Investment Policy Statements for clients.
• General
o Attend Market Street Staff meetings.
o Assist with other special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
An ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in financial planning or similar major, preferably from a CFP Board accredited college or university.
• Interested in a career with an Independent Fee-Only Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) business.
• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and work unsupervised.
• Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in dealing with client matters.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Self-starter, energetic, assertive, and eager to learn.
• Professional demeanor, team player, excellent people skills.
• Desire to work successfully in a small company environment.
