Associate Planner

The applicant will work in the capacity as a paraplanner. The applicant must have a passion for planning and a desire to serve the client.

Duties for this Position:

1. Financial Planning duties:

• Serve as a para planner for existing clients.

• Participate in all aspects of servicing of clients, including

• Input client information into Money Guide Pro

• Maintain and/or establish relationships and coordinate with clients' other professional advisors (CPAs, attorneys, etc.) as needed

• Work in a team environment with the willingness to share information, find solutions and develop new skills and knowledge from within the group

2. Client Service duties:

• Be the first point of contact to serve the client’s needs

• Correspond with client for setting up new accounts, gathering data and documents

• Mail client correspondence when necessary

• FINAL client meeting notes will be sent to client and notated in CRM

• Keep up with what is going on with your clients

• UpdateTasks as completed

• Distribute client tasks to Employees per client meeting summary via CRM!

• Assign with onboarding new clients

• Follow up on trade tickets within two days of the portfolio manager (PM) giving you the trade ticket

• Notify the PM immediately if the trade fails or has any discrepancy

• Check, fax, verify, and scan PIP paperwork (work with PM on how to accomplish this)

3. Other duties:

Candidate is expected to take ownership in the success of the firm and for that reason is expected to carry out any and all duties that are necessary to get the job done. In the absence of the Administrative Assistant the candidate will assist with those duties.

Qualifications for this Position:

The candidate should possess the following skill set:

• Highly motivated, thorough and very detail oriented

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to integrate financial strategies and investments for Clients

• Understands and can articulate financial planning principles and strategies to clients.

• Able to gain and maintain the respect of high net-worth families.

• Strong educational credentials and analytical background.

• Impeccable work history.

• Ability to identify, meet and follow through with client needs and requirements.

• Must be a self-starter, problem solver and a goal-oriented team player with a ‘no job is beneath me’ attitude.

• Share the firm's investment management philosophy

• Have an awareness of financial planning issues related to managing wealth

• Prior financial planning experience desired but not required

• CFP Board registered financial planning program student/graduate.

• Series 65 or attainment within 3-6 months after joining firm.

• Pass CFP® Certification examination within 18 months after joining firm.

• Ideally have earned an MBA, CFA, CFP or CPA (or in the process of doing so)
