Mark is one of only six people in the nation that has both the Certified Financial Planner® and Accredited Pension Administrator (APA) designations.
Before entering the world of financial planning. Mark was a qualified plan administrator for Executive Benefits, Inc. At the same time, he served as the head software engineer with WINC Enterprises providing software for retirement plan administrators across the country. Mark was recently elected to be one of the seven members of the Certified Financial Planner's® Board of Examiners. Besides being responsible for the CFP® Certification Examination, the Board of Examiners is also responsible for registration of college and university programs, continuing education, and other education-related activities. Mark is an active member of the Financial Planners Association (FPA), the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA). For over 6 years, Mark taught Retirement Planning and Employment Benefits as a staff instructor at the University of California, Irvine. Mark has a Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Irvine.
