Planning Specialties
As a CPA, I had been practicing in the areas of income and estate taxation for quite some time. Personal financial planning has been my passion all of my life and I felt drawn to add financial planning to my accounting practice so I can help people achieve their personal and financial goals.
I got my first taste of personal financial planning as a 15-year-old when my grandfather asked me to help take care of my grandmother when he was gone. He taught and modeled for me a life of responsible money choices, avoiding debt and planning and saving for the future.
I applied these principles to my own life and helped my grandmother move along in hers as a widow. And when she passed, I had the honor and responsibility of being her executor.
Not only did I get the chance to fulfill my grandparents' wishes, but I also became convinced that this was the path for my life...helping people navigate life with solid financial guidance and a freedom from financial worry.
In 2003, I earned my Certificate in Financial Planning from Kaplan College. I also hold a BS degree in Accounting and an MS degree in Taxation. Just recently, I earned the designation RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional) from The American College of Financial Services.
Outside of work, I enjoy horseback riding, traveling and hiking with my husband and our dog, Rangeley.
Additional Information
We provide tax-focused financial planning and investment advisory services for individuals undergoing a financial transition such as pending retirement, an inheritance or the death of a spouse. Our clients retain us to provide ongoing financial planning and investment advisory services for a flat annual fee.
We believe good financial advice must meet a fiduciary standard and be free of conflicts of interest. Therefore, we do not take custody of your assets, but rather, we help you evaluate your options and we work with you to implement changes to help you meet your financial goals.
