Mindy Neira is a Principal and Wealth Manager with Modera Wealth Management, LLC. Mindy serves individuals and families who have planning needs centered around disability or other medical conditions. She also partners with those who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, or Queer (LGBTQ+). She works closely with her clients to understand their unique planning needs, organize, and prioritize their goals, and build a comprehensive financial plan to help them achieve success.
Mindy began her finance career with Fidelity Investments in 2011 before joining Modera in 2018. Not only does she provide comprehensive financial planning to her clients, but she also works to educate other advisors on the planning nuances within her target clients groups. As an LGBTQ+ financial planner, she has actively worked to make other planners aware of the importance of active allyship and serving the community. Prior to joining the financial planning field, Mindy worked as an in-home therapist for children with autism and their families for 3 years. This firsthand experience has been pivotal in her ability to serve the special needs community through financial planning. Mindy is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional and a Charted Special Needs Consultant®. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Psychology and a minor in Spanish from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

Mindy co-chairs the NAPFA DE&I Steering Committee. She is a member of the New Jersey LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, the Association of African American Financial Advisors (AAAA), and the Special Needs Chapter of the National Association of Divorce Professionals (NADP). Mindy is also an active supporter of various non-profit organizations, such as the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, and Autism Speaks. Mindy resides in Cedar Grove, NJ with her wife Lisa and her dog Avery. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants and cuisines in the area, traveling abroad, and reading fiction books.
