Dr. Barry H. Kaplan is a Principal and Wealth Manager at Modera Wealth Management, LLC. As a Wealth Manager, he specializes in working with executives, health care professionals and retirees.
Prior to his career in wealth management, Barry practiced dentistry for twenty years until an injury ended his successful dental career. Fortunately, he had previously discovered a passion for financial planning and now holds the CFP® certification. After his dental career he joined The Ayco Company, L.P., a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs, as a financial planner and, subsequently, Cambridge Wealth Counsel. Barry and the Cambridge Wealth Counsel team joined Modera in 2017.
Barry graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Barry is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and is committed to fee-only financial planning. He also is a member of the Financial Planning Association, and the National Association of Tax Professionals.

Outside of Modera, Barry lives in East Cobb, Georgia, with Bev, his wife of over 40 years. Their son Adam is a graduate of the University of Arizona. Adam lives with his wife and son in Brooklyn. Barry’s daughter Joelle, a graduate of the University of North Carolina and the University of Texas-Dallas, is a speech pathologist and lives with her husband in Charlotte, North Carolina. While not working Barry enjoys travel, reading financial and investment books and publications, road cycling and spending time with his family and dogs at home and in Watersound, Florida. (CAM 3323)
