I attended Southeast Missouri State University and was a member of the Army R.O.T.C. program, receiving my commission as an Army 2nd Lieutenant. While serving in the Missouri Army National Guard as a combat engineer platoon leader, I earned a B.S. from Tarkio College in 1991. While serving in my Rotary Club I’ve become an active volunteer with the United Way Read to Succeed program and have taught numerous Junior Achievement classes. Additionally, I serve on the board for the Hope Children's Home, an emergency shelter for children in crisis.

Additional Information
My wife, Maureen, and I have two children, and enjoy spending time with our three grandchildren. When not hanging out with our friends and family, we love working in the yard, hiking or biking.
