Eric Hutchens is president and chief investment officer at Allodium Investment Consultants, specializing in investment strategies and comprehensive financial planning for high-net-worth individuals and families. Eric became a shareholder in the firm in 2017 and currently serves as the secretary and treasurer of the firm’s Board of Managers. With over 20 years of experience in the financial profession, he focuses on designing tax-efficient investment strategies to help clients achieve their unique goals. Eric chairs Allodium’s Investment Committee and serves on the Executive and Financial Planning Committees.
Additional Information
Eric holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Science in history from the University of Wisconsin—Madison. He is a CFP® professional having obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(TM) certification sponsored by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. He has also been awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) Designation, sponsored by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, to further his professional development and help him better serve clients. In addition, Eric has become a CFA® charterholder, CFA Institute.
Prior to joining Allodium, Eric spent 15 years with an asset management firm in the Twin Cities, a decade of which he served as a financial planner.
Eric lives in the southern suburbs with his wife and two rescue dogs. He enjoys spending time with family and relaxing at their cabin in northwest Wisconsin. In past years, Eric has volunteered at his church, where he has served on the elder board and as a youth group leader.
