S. Nasira Iqbal, CFP® , MS. AFP.FLP I am blessed to be in the financial planning profession, “a true helping profession,” for over 14 years of my life. My mission is to remove the misconception about financial planning that is it’s discretionary, a luxury for the well-heeled. Financial planning is elemental for all. Most importantly, my vision is to coach people holistically in their financial life plan that weaves together their financial goals with their life goals and leads them to a journey of pursuing comfortable and happier lives. Education: I was Dean’s Honor list graduate of UC Berkeley extn, earned Certificate with Distinction in Personal Financial Planning, and am a Certified Financial Planner. My belief has always been that there is more than just numbers in financial planning. Hence, I pursued a master’s in Advanced Financial Planning with a concentration in Financial Life Planning and earned a master’s degree with the highest honors at Golden Gate University. And I have a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Finance from Bangalore University. My Passion & Interests: Is giving back to the financial planning profession and continuing to be a fee-only planner (fee-only meaning, I am compensated directly by each client, which is the only compensation I receive). It was an honor to serve on the San Francisco Financial Planning Association (FPA) board as the President and Chairperson. I dedicatedly participate in many of the financial planning pro bono efforts. In my spare time, I enjoy wandering & hiking in nature, traveling around the world, learning about different cultures, and exploring my culinary interests.NAPFA Start Date
