Mary Lou is the founder and owner of Daly Financial Coaching, a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) regulated by the state of North Carolina. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Daly Financial Coaching offers comprehensive financial planning and financial coaching services.
With over three decades of experience in the financial industry, Mary Lou brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. Before joining Bragg Financial Advisors, she had her own individual income tax practice, Daly Financial Books, providing tax services to various clients, including other solo CPA practitioners. Mary Lou began her career at Price Waterhouse, working in their tax department while pursuing her Master's in Professional Accounting with a concentration in tax from the University of Hartford. She spent 13 years at Bragg Financial Advisors, where she served as the Director of Planning, a Client Advisor, and a member of the Leadership Team, providing retirement, estate, investment, tax, and financial planning services to clients.
Mary Lou's passion for financial education stems from her upbringing by her father, a Presbyterian minister, and her mother, a teacher. This influence has guided her commitment to educating individuals and couples on financial literacy.
Additional Information
Originally from Huntington, West Virginia, Mary Lou earned her BA in Economics from Davidson College in 1988 and her North Carolina CPA designation in 1989 and her CFP license in 2011. She is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the AFCPE.
In her free time, Mary Lou enjoys reading, playing on Lake James, hiking, pickleball, and learning more about how our money beliefs impact our finances, and how our lifestyle impacts our chances of Alzheimer's.
