Serving in the industry since 1988, Doug Lockwood brings a wealth of experience to all interactions, supporting clients with hard work, valuable insight, and humility. He is also a Certified Financial Planner™ and believes strongly in the power of partnership, especially partnership with a firm that delivers execution on service, planning, and investments. A part of the Credent story from the beginning, Doug was the Branch President and a Wealth Partner for Hefty Wealth Partners, which became Credent Wealth Management in 2018. He's seen the mission grow and create change in the lives of countless individuals, some of whom he's had the opportunity to guide through estate planning, charitable giving, and retirement.
A proponent of the close-knit Auburn, Indiana community, Doug has offered his wisdom and warm demeanor in a number of roles—as President of DeKalb County Hope Inc. and the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, Vice President of the Auburn Lions Club, a supporter of the DeKalb County Community Foundation, a contributing member of the DeKalb County Outdoor Theatre, a strong supporter of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and an active member of his church.
Doug earned a BA with a concentration in Economics and a minor in Latin from Wabash College as well as an MBA from Anderson University School of Business. He also participated in the Standford University Study Abroad program. A husband, father, and grandpa, Doug enjoys spending time with his family, staying active, and traveling.
He enjoys playing competitive tennis, participating in triathlons, and spending time with his wife, Angie, and their growing family. Doug and Angie are proud grandparents to three wonderful grandchildren.
