Michael is a Wealth Manager at Howe & Rusling and has worked in the financial services industry since 2011. He has a passion for helping his clients achieve their financial goals and understands that every person and family is unique. Michael assists individuals and families by providing investment advice with ongoing management as well as financial planning services. In addition to the CFP® certification, Michael holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor? designation. This additional education along with Michael's prior 6-year tenure at T. Rowe Price gives him a strong background in retirement planning. Michael has worked with corporate, small-business, state, and government employees from entry-level to executives and directors to understand their workplace benefits and plan for retirement. Since retirement planning is a long-term goal, this often incorporates other financial goals that impact retirement planning such as college and estate planning.
Additional Information
Prior to joining Howe & Rusling, Michael has worked for FirstBank, T. Rowe Price, and Empower in a variety of roles including Personal Banker, Senior Financial Consultant, and Senior Wealth Advisor. Michael received a BA in Economics from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO and has since attained the CFP® and CRPC® designations. He is an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Southern Colorado which is the leading membership organization for CFP® professionals and those engaged in the financial planning process. He is also an active member of the Association of Financial Educators, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free financial education workshops to companies of all sizes throughout North America. When he isn't staying busy with finance Michael can be found traveling or enjoying the beautiful outdoors of Colorado. Some of his favorite activities are mountain biking, rock climbing, snowboarding, and playing guitar and drums.
