Hi! I’m Eric Figueroa, CFP®, founder of Hesperian Wealth. My planning process starts with deeply understanding you and your dreams for the future. Then through a series of workshops, I help you draft a detailed blueprint to make that future a reality. This includes designing a personalized investment strategy just for you.
Ultimately, we develop an initial plan that covers every facet of your financial life: budgeting; rightsizing an emergency fund; debt management; checking insurance coverages; maximizing employment benefits; implementing tax strategies; achieving one-off goals like buying a house; paying for college; charitable giving; starting, managing, exiting, or passing on a business; saving for retirement; leaving a legacy; etc.
But our work is never done. Each quarter we’ll work on Action Items together as we execute your plan. If your goals change or you experience a major life event, I’ll be there to help you through whatever life throws at you.

My mission is to expand access to financial planning and sophisticated investment strategies, especially to young professionals, pre-retirement savers, and clients with illiquid wealth who don't meet the investment minimums some advisors require. What differentiates me? Virtual appointments (or in-person meetings if you're local to the Greater Sacramento area). Evening and weekend meeting availability. No investment minimums. Transparent fees and flexible services. And you'll receive substantial direct time with me, your dedicated, credentialed advisor. In addition, I specialize in helping clients make a positive impact or reflect their values with their investment portfolios if they wish to do so.
Previously, I worked for a large investment advisor in the San Francisco Bay Area. In my role there, I served under their team of wealth managers and also managed their professional investment research service, where I helped financial advisors across the country build portfolios for their clients. During that time, I saw how rewarding it could be to help others achieve their financial goals. I founded my own practice to use my financial planning knowledge to be even more directly impactful on people's lives. There is so much financial complexity in today's world but also so much misinformation. I want to be my clients' trusted source for financial advice and guidance.
In my spare time, I enjoy life with my beautiful wife and young daughter, playing guitar, and traveling the world. During my school days, I lived in France for a bit. But as a family, we now love to visit the Pacific Northwest given my wife’s fascination with killer whales. My firm is based in Folsom, CA, and I call the Gold Country my home. I love being close to the vineyards and lovely vistas of the Sierra Foothills.
