Planning Specialties
David enjoys working with young families and business owners who have multiple competing financial goals. Clients are often conflicted between paying off debt while buying a house, saving for retirement, starting a family and/or running a business all at the same time. Income can be sporadic, but expenses are constant and evolving. David helps clients transform their financial goals into reality so they can focus on what matters most to them such as growing their family or business.

Additional Information
David is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) Professional. With a background in Insurance, David has seen many facets of the financial planning industry. Prior to beginning his own practice, he was an Insurance Agent for 7 years at a large Insurance Company. Four of those years were spent as a District Manager, responsible for managing a team of agents across a large territory in North Dakota and Minnesota.
David decided to branch off and forge his own way in the financial planning industry in 2021 as a Fee-Only Financial Planner. With his experience, he decided that being able to act as a fiduciary towards his clients instead of a salesman, results in the best long-term outcome for his clients - they can be confident they are receiving genuine advice, without alternative motives, from a fee-only firm without sales related compensation.
David is from Fargo, ND, and attended North Dakota State University. He and his wife, Katie, are expecting their first little one in December, 2021.
In his free time, David tries to spend as much time outside as possible during North Dakota's short seasons of nice weather. He can be found at the lake, on the golf course, grilling (year-round) or doing something in the yard.
