NAPFA Spring 2024 National Conference Speaker

A native of Jamaica, Philip Gibson, CFP® moved to the U.S. to attend Prairie View A&M University where he graduated Suma Cum Laude. He then attended Texas Tech University for his Ph.D. A lifelong learner and teacher, Gibson started his academic career at the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio. He later joined the faculty at Winthrop University where he is currently a tenured Associate Professor of Finance and Director of Financial Planning. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ and an academic, Gibson is passionate about educating the next generation of financial advisors. He has published numerous scholarly articles on investing and retirement planning.
