Elaine Floyd
Elaine Floyd, CFP,®? is the director of retirement and life planning at Horsesmouth, a company that provides education and support to financial advisors.
Elaine started her career in 1981 as a registered representative for a major wire house and received the CFP®? designation in 1986. She is an authority on Social Security and Medicare rules and strategies as a result of her intense interest in the subject and analysis of hundreds of cases which have been brought to her by subscribers to Horsesmouth’s Savvy Social Security Planning program. Since 2008, she has answered more than 20,000 advisor questions and been quoted in leading publications such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA and currently resides in Palm Springs, California.
