Massimiliano De Santis
Massi De Santis, Ph.D. is an economist and a CFP® professional specializing in retirement planning, investment, and behavioral economics. He is lecturer of finance and economics at the McCoy College of Business of Texas State University, San Marcos, and founder of DESMO Wealth Advisors, LLC, where he provides objective financial planning and investment management to help clients organize, grow, and protect their resources throughout their lives.
Prior experiences include senior investment strategy positions at Dimensional Fund Advisors and Stone Ridge Asset Management, and a faculty position in finance and economics at Dartmouth College. De Santis has written numerous academic and practitioner papers on macroeconomic risks, financial planning, retirement planning, risk management, and portfolio selection. Other accomplishments include the development of award-winning strategies at Dimensional Fund Advisors and, with S&P Dow Jones, the development of the first set of indices that track retirement readiness (the S&P STRIDE indices).
