Cathy Curtis, CFP®, is the founder and CEO of Curtis Financial Planning, an independent RIA based in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2001. Her firm works primarily with independent women - single women or women who take the lead in the household finances. Her firm’s mission is to help women create lives they love through smart financial planning and investing. She is a financial literacy advocate and has taught Personal Finance at Mills College in Oakland. Cathy speaks frequently about niche marketing and social media marketing; is a member of the CNBC Digital Financial Council; and is on the list Investopedia’s 100 most influential advisors in the U.S. She writes for her blog, Of Independent Means and recently started a podcast called Financial Finesse.
