Wen-Fu Wu
Wen-Fu Wu is Managing Director and the Head of Asset Allocation for the TIAA General Account portfolio. In this capacity, he and his team support the General Account CIO in asset allocation decisions within the portfolio, including tactical, dynamic, and strategic allocation recommendations, investment activity monitoring, and broad portfolio oversight across all of the General Account’s assets, consisting of public and private fixed income, private equity, real estate, and real asset alternatives.
Prior to joining TIAA in 2012, Mr. Wu was at Susquehanna International Group, where he served as a quantitative desk strategist and corporate bond trader. Prior to Susquehanna, he was a quantitative analyst at The Hartford where he helped manage the general account portfolio there as well as third party institutional assets. He has also held positions as an interest rate strategist at Lehman Brothers and as a credit analyst at Putnam Investments.
Mr. Wu is a member of the board of directors at LEAP, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development and representation of Asian and Pacific Islanders, and serves as the National Chair for the Asian American Employee Resource Group at TIAA. He holds dual bachelor’s degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
