W. Eric Hehman
Eric Hehman is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Austin Asset. He has been with the firm since 1997, and a principal/owner since 1999. Under his guidance, the firm has been awarded national top financial advisor honors by publications such as Worth, Mutual Funds, Bloomberg's Wealth Manager, and Medical Economics. In 2014, he completed the seven-year transition plan that provided for the retirement of the firm’s founder.
Eric is a progressive influence for the next generation of financial planners and is respected industry-wide for his thought leadership in the area of practice management enhancements. He is a frequent speaker and contributor on these topics at NAPFA, FPA and AICPA events, and shares his story to encourage next generation leaders in their professional growth. Eric is a co-author of the book, “Success and Succession: Unlocking Value, Power, and Potential in the Professional Services and Advisory Space.”
Eric is actively involved in the leadership of professional, philanthropic and charitable organizations, including the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA); the Financial Planning Association (FPA), Capital IDEA, Central Texas Estate Planning Council, and Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and South Texas, and Lone Star, SC.
