Robert Maloney
In 1982 Bob Maloney founded R.E. Maloney Associates, Ltd. in New Canaan, Ct. (Our Successor) to provide Fee-Only personal financial planning services. Led by the needs of his clients, he developed the firm's expertise in comprehensive planning with particular emphasis on pre- and post-retirement planning, tax strategies, business succession, wealth preservation, and estate planning. His national client base includes women, retiring and retired couples and owners of closely held businesses. Squam Lakes Financial Advisors, LLC assists to articulate personal goals and develop comprehensive planning strategies for achieving those goals.
Bob has served as Chairman, President and Director of the Connecticut Estate and Tax Planning Council, President and Director of the Southern Connecticut Chapter of the International Association of Financial Planners (IAFP) and is currently a member of the New Hampshire Estate Planning Council. He is also an active member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA); he served three years as President and Director of the Northeast Mid-Atlantic Region of NAPFA. Bob is immediate past chancellor for NAPFA University for the continuing education of planners/advisors and their clients.
Bob's holds a BS in Finance from Siena College in Loudonville, NY. He was awarded the Master of Science Degree in Financial Services (MSFS) from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Bob served his community for two years as Chairman of the Foundation of "Hospice of the Chesapeake" in Annapolis, Md. In 2007, he relocated his home and office to Holderness, New Hampshire where he now resides.
