Troy Thompson created Thompson Advisory Services to provide comprehensive and objective financial planning services to individuals and their families. He believes that this work can open the door to happier relationships, better health and more fulfilling lives. After graduating from Harvard Law School and Cornell University, Thompson carried on a successful law practice with two global law firms where he practiced tax law. He is an expert in state and federal income taxation, and in the areas of qualified pensions and retirement plans, municipal bonds, complex derivatives, stock options, equity-based compensation plans, and selection and formation of business entities. Thompson also has extensive experience defending taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities. He is licensed to practice law in both California and Oregon.

Thompson served as a trusted resource for businesses, financial institutions and government for over ten years.
