Mark Whidby
Mark is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Lee Financial. Mark is responsible for the investment activities of the firm including setting the investment philosophy, policy and strategy, asset allocation models, manager selection, investment due diligence and research, performance measurement, and communication with our portfolio managers and clients as needed. Mark has worked with foundations, international pension plans, ERISA plans and family offices in investment management capacity.
Before joining LFC, Mark was Managing Director and CIO for Commerce Street Peak Advisors. He was also a founding partner at Analytical Research, a hedge fund research firm to international institutional investors. Mark began his financial career in 1995 with the Investment Banking firm of Rauscher Pierce Refsnes in the equity syndicate transactions group. After Rauscher, he held various investment positions with The Inroads Group, Davis Hamilton & Jackson, and Sanders Morris Mundy.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas (Austin). He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has passed the FINRA Series 7 and 63 examinations.
