Clarissa Hobson
Since 2001, Clarissa R. Hobson, CFP®, has helped clients achieve their financial goals, and particularly enjoys ensuring that her clients’ financial lives are organized and on track to meet their long-term objectives. As an advocate for educating individuals on financial topics, she has been quoted in a number of national periodicals including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Kiplinger’s Retirement Report, Financial Planning Magazine, and Money Magazine, among others. She has also appeared multiple times on Wharton Business Radio’s Your Money program. Clarissa provides comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services to clients at Carnick & Kubik, following years of providing retirement and employee benefits guidance for the Principal Financial Group and AmSouth Bank’s Retirement &Trust Department. Clarissa is a NAPFA member, and recently completed a term on NAPFA’s West Region Board. She is also a member of the NAPFA Women’s Initiative. Clarissa serves on the City of Colorado Springs Investment Advisory Committee, serves as Treasurer for TESSA’s board of directors (a local domestic violence and sexual assault prevention nonprofit), sits on the Newborn Hope board of directors, and will be co-chairing their 2016 fundraising luncheon. She regularly hosts a kids’ cooking segment on Fox21 News in her local market. Clarissa is a former board member of the Junior League of Colorado Springs, Early Connections Learning Centers, and the Financial Planning Association (Southern Colorado Chapter). She is a 2001 Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of the South in Sewanee, TN. She spends her free time with her husband Mike wrangling their three year-old daughter Charlotte, volunteering at Grace & St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and her daughter’s school, and striving to improve her high-altitude baking skills.
