Childfree and Permanently Childless people

Approximately 25% of the US are childfree or permanently childless, meaning they don't have kids and aren't planning on having kids. The challenge is that most financial planning and financial planning software has built-in assumptions around having kids. In this session we will dive into how being childfree impacts life and finances including: dying with zero, not retiring, planning for long-term care, estate planning without next of kin, and more.

2. Identify systematic and personal biases that may make it difficult to serve childfree people
3. Identify areas of financial planning that need to change when a client is childfree
