Work-Life Balance—Is There Such a Thing?
With four generations of women in the professional workplace today, we recognize the great inroads women have made in a short time. Today, women have more opportunities to pursue careers of their choice, work toward promotions, and make inroads to leadership positions. Yet, women continue to struggle with trying to “have it all.” Across the generations, we’re trying to find the holy grail: work-life balance.
During this session, we will explore the idea of work-life balance. What it is. How you can achieve it. Is there really such a thing? Hear from successful women who have achieved career advancement in interesting roads to success. They also run their households and make a difference in their communities. Two of the women also raised/are raising children, adding layers of seeming impossibility to achieving work-life balance. Add in a global pandemic and the scales have tipped unfavorably for many women.
After a lively discussion from the panel, you will have a chance to share your successes—or frustrations—about achieving work-life balance and brainstorm options with other women in your shoes.
Come prepared to be inspired. Walk out with ideas for how you can better decide where you will find your work-life balance.
