One third of wealth in the US is controlled by women yet women comprise only 23% of CFP professionals. Nearly 43% of Millennial adults are non-white yet the majority of advisors are Caucasian. The profession itself is experiencing an acute talent shortage because most firms do not have a systematic process for recruiting and developing people. The presenter will be Mark Tibergien, CEO of one of the country’s leading custodians and a long-time advocate for people development in the advisory business. Mark is the author of three books on practice management with his fourth to be published this fall by Wiley. He is also a monthly contributor to Investment Advisor/Think Advisor on practice management topics. Prior to joining Pershing 8 years ago, Mark was the founder and leader of the business consulting and business valuation group at Moss Adams LLP.
